Recess Returns to CPS After Years of POWER-PAC Advocacy

After years of advocating for CPS to bring recess back, POWER-PAC claimed a victory with the announcement that recess will be added back to all schools. For nearly three decades, CPS students went without recess and, as POWER-PAC argued for years, this led to a host of behavioral challenges as a result of being “contained for long periods of time.”
