Invest in Parent Power

Your support will develop parent leaders who demand change and win critical victories for families.

Make an impact on racial and economic justice for families

For almost three decades, COFI has harnessed the power of parents at the table – their leadership, expertise, and solutions. COFI-trained parent leaders are leading the fight for racial and economic justice for children and families.

COFI parents organize around diverse issues including equitable access to quality early care and education programs, food security, utility affordability, the expansion of solar energy resources, reforms to punitive school discipline practices and policing, and the reduction of fees and fines that significantly burden families.

Your support enables us to provide trainings, infrastructure, space, and resources to parents so that they can do what they do best – share their stories, expertise, and solutions. COFI-trained parents lead the way in enacting significant legislative changes and building resilient and equitable communities.

Your one-time or recurring financial donation using the form below is very much appreciated. And if you are curious about other ways to give, such as legacy and planned giving, please click here.

If I had let someone else make the decisions for me, I wouldn’t have what I have now. COFI taught me how to lose my fear.

The power of parents can go a long way. We just have to speak up and stick together. We can get a whole lot done.

COFI brings out the leader within

Donna, a long-time resident of Englewood, Chicago, didn’t always think of herself as a leader. When she attended a COFI parent leadership training at her child’s school, she didn’t think anything much would come out of it. Donna had too much to worry about at home and just wanted to lay low. But then something wonderful happened – another parent saw in Donna what she didn’t see in herself at the time: a future leader.
