The Mayor’s Commission for a Safer Chicago recently released a report and accompanying video sharing plans on reducing youth violence throughout the city. In the report, the Mayor’s Commission recommends 28 strategies on reducing the violence throughout the city. As a member of the Commission, COFI played influential role in developing these strategies. The Wells Academy Peace Center, and Peacemaker Treyonda Towns, were featured in the Commissions video as successful examples of restorative justice practices.
