Over 100 parents across Illinois have already participated in Children’s Savings Accounts (CSA) Summits hosted by POWER-PAC, COFI and our long-time partner, Illinois Asset Building Group.

In mid-September, the first summit was held in East St. Louis and since then one was held in Chicago and one in Aurora. At the summits, parents share their dreams for their children and the barriers that might limit these dreams. They talk about how CSAs can give children the freedom to pursue higher education and help to close the racial wealth gap.

POWER-PAC and IABG are working together toward the goal of ending generational poverty. Together we seek to build a movement of parents and activists fighting to make universal CSAs a reality in Illinois.
