Fase 3: Cambio de políticas y sistemas

Fase 3 builds off of the incremental steps during the first two phases. You will learn COFI’s five-step process to policy and systems change, the values behind this work, the first steps to building a parent power organization, and how to implement the advanced parent leader curriculum, including what is policy change and COFI’s theory of policy change, working cross culturally, strategic planning, and other topics.
Esta capacitación enseña cómo apoyar a los padres mientras construyen relaciones sólidas y llenas de confianza en diversas comunidades y con aliados profesionales. Fase 3 training is aimed at creating a tight cross-cultural organization of parents that works together to create policy and systems change.
En el Fase 3: Cambio de políticas y sistemas En una sesión de formación de formadores/formación de organizadores aprenderá:
- Cómo COFI construyó la organización POWER-PAC IL, reuniendo equipos de padres de toda la ciudad y el estado
- Cómo planificar y lanzar su primera campaña con diversos equipos de padres
- Creando una estructura organizacional
- ¿Qué es el cambio de políticas y sistemas y la teoría del cambio de políticas de COFI?
- Skill-building sessions on choosing an issue, working cross culturally, strategic planning and negotiating with policymakers.
Fase 3 el entrenamiento se llevará a cabo en el hermoso y pacífico Centro Q en el río Fox, 50 millas al oeste de Chicago (en 1405 North Fifth Ave., St. Charles, IL 60174).
Registration is $925 for the Tuesday afternoon through Friday afternoon training. Room and board costs are variable at the Q Center but should run about $900-$950 for the three days and three nights. After you register for training you will receive additional information to complete your reservation at Q Center. Training is scheduled to start at 3 PM on Tuesday, 6/23 and will end at 1 PM CT on Friday, 6/26.
The registration deadline is February 24, 2026.

**If you’ve completed COFI’s Fase 1 & Fase 2 Train-the-Trainer / Organizer, and are actively building a parent organization, and you want to attend Fase 3 but training cost is a barrier, email Jennifer Little para nuestra solicitud de beca de formación.
Multiple Registrations
We offer a discount for multiple registrations:
- Two registrations: $1,800
- Three registrations: $2,500
This applies when you register for two or three different trainings for yourself, or when you register two or three people for any of our trainings. You can select this option in the payment section below.
Important notes
- To receive the discount, all registrations must be completed at the same time. We cannot issue refunds for individual registrations made separately.
- Registration is non-refundable. We can transfer the registration to another person or credit your registration towards a future training.
- In order to run this training, we need a minimum number of participants. If we don’t have enough, we may need to postpone the training. We will confirm your training registration and next steps with you on/around March 16.
