Los padres l\u00edderes del Consejo de Gobierno de POWER-PAC Illinois vinieron a Chicago para el \u201cSabor de POWER-PAC\u201d.<\/p>\n

Los padres l\u00edderes de Aurora, Chicago, Elgin y East St. Louis se subieron a un autob\u00fas escolar para recorrer las comunidades de Chicago, probar la cocina y conocer las victorias de los padres de Chicago. Conocieron a otros padres de POWER-PAC en cada una de las cuatro sucursales de POWER-PAC en Chicago.<\/p>\n

El grupo visit\u00f3 la Sucursal West Side en la Escuela Primaria Melody en West Garfield Park para aprender sobre el modelo del Centro de Paz para Padres y escuchar sobre el modelo comunitario de la escuela y disfrutar de algo de comida para el alma.<\/p>\n

Recorrieron el nuevo patio de recreo de la Escuela Primaria Nixon con la Sucursal del Lado Noroeste. Los padres l\u00edderes de Nixon abogaron durante tres a\u00f1os por la construcci\u00f3n de un patio de recreo, y este verano su sue\u00f1o se hizo realidad.<\/p>\n

La sucursal del lado suroeste comparti\u00f3 su historia de \u00e9xito: la instalaci\u00f3n de una nueva se\u00f1al de alto en una intersecci\u00f3n peligrosa en La Villita, y sirvi\u00f3 tamales.<\/p>\n

Y finalmente, la sucursal de Southside recorri\u00f3 la biblioteca de un nuevo sitio de evaluaci\u00f3n de intervenci\u00f3n temprana para familias en la comunidad de Englewood.<\/p>\n
