2009 Celebration of Hope:  Good Health for Life

POWER-PAC families organized their 11th Annual Celebration of Hope a theme of Good Health for Life with the co-sponsorship of CLOCC (the Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago’s Children).  This cross-community, end of the school year picnic was a fun way to celebrate a year of organizing victories.  Parents did aerobics and danced to the DJ, while the children ran races.  Each family received a basketful of fresh fruits and vegetables, and a cookbook of healthy recipes.  We applaud CLOCC for their work, and are grateful for their support.
